ATTENTION: Books are being scrubbed from the internet, information to expose these systems is being destroyed. Get as many hardcopy books as you can, while you can. Example? The infamous page 75 of "the First Global Revolution" has convinently been recently removed from Google Books. Page 75 discusses the idea of using "famine, resources shortage, and global warming" being used as a means to unite humanity behind a common goal. That would "fit the bill" indeed. You can still view portions of the book from a cached link here, but for some other reason on my end all searches in Google Books for "First Global Revolution" are coming up as 'no preview'. Upon further investigation, a high-quality PDF file is still available at archive.org and quotes are scattered throughout the internet. Take advantage of this information while you can.

"In searching for a common enemy against whom we can unite, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and like, would fit the bill. In their totality and thier interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which must be confronted by everyone together. But in designating these dangers as the enemy, we fall into the trap, which we have already warned readers about, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention in natural processes, and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself."
